How safety has changed: single bar vs. double bar gates

Since our establishment in 1980, safety standards have changed, and ISP Products has constantly evolved along with them. The single-bar gate was the industry standard in those early days, and some of our earliest single-bar gates are still in reliable service after 38 years. Increased focus on personnel protection has replaced it with the double-bar gate. This demonstrates our product’s longevity and is precisely why multinational companies specify our safety gates globally.

The double-bar design offers superior protection and exceeds current international standards. The single-bar gate is the older style of safety gate. It provides less protection compared to the modern double-bar gate and, more critically, does not comply with the current OSHA and EN ISO standards.

The double-bar gate is the current industrial standard because it affords better protection, along with meeting OSHA and EN ISO standards. In addition to all this, it complies with Dutch building guidelines, which are a major requirement in large industrial projects.
